DAY 2 See the elegant spiral staircase at Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, NM, and learn about the mystery surrounding it. (lodging in Albuquerque NM)
DAY 3 The Petrified Forest National Park, AZ, covers 346-square miles of petrified wood and eroded and colorful buttes. Nature brings art to life in the Painted Desert with colorful stripes in the earth of the eroded mountains. Rising to 10,378’, the Sandia Peak Tramway shows off one of America’s most stunning peaks. DAY 4 Actually a reservoir, Lake Powell is otherworldly. Explore it on a Navajo Canyon Boat Ride. See the Glen Canyon Dam, the second largest concrete arch dam in the USA. View towering Navajo sandstone geologic formations with stunning red and burnt orange rocks. The walls of Navajo Canyon are 600′ above the water and some are as deep below as they are tall.
