When you see Lake Pontchartrain, you’ll know we are close to New Orleans, Louisiana. Prior to our dinner cruise on the Mississippi River, we’ll stop at the French Quarter with its uniquely southern architecture. After the cruise, explore the night life on Bourbon Street. See New Orleans through the eyes of our local, step-on guide. We’ll stop at some of the city’s oldest (and very interesting) cemeteries, and be able to purchase some famous beignets. Free time for browsing and eating at the historic French Market.

Traveling to Biloxi, Mississippi, we’ll visit the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum. We will also get a peek of a shrimp boat to learn how those tasty crustaceans get from the water to the table, as we cruise the Mississippi Sound.

Stops at the Gulf Islands National Seashore and Bellingrath Gardens lead us to Mobile, Alabama. Here, explore the Battleship Memorial Park. South, in the Florida panhandle, visit Pensacola’s National Naval Aviation Museum. Enjoy a leisurely covered catamaran cruise to see native birds, dolphins and other marine life. Free time on Pensacola Beach!

Heading back we’ll make stops in Birmingham, Alabama, before “landing” for some free time in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
